Less power and anointing - less risks and less chance of getting it wrong.

Interesting ... I can't find much in the Bible (even the ESV) about making mistakes, or blundering - if your heart is sincerely passionately set on God and glorifying Him and His Church.Dan Bowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15661120561123767936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13792024.post-1156176591161102862006-08-21T17:09:00.000+01:002006-08-21T17:09:00.000+01:00I benefited from it because it didn't follow that ...I benefited from it because it didn't follow that policy. I don't know if I would even class something that did follow it to be a true prophecy. Why call it prophecy if it doesn't really say anything about the future? I totally agree with you. Essentially they are trying to strip the prophetic of its meaning and power. Without true meaning and power it will dwindle away or at best become a worthless tradition. Of course it's safer, but that just brings us back to your favorite Narnia quote!julhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15688008902332240637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13792024.post-1156167145561294212006-08-21T14:32:00.000+01:002006-08-21T14:32:00.000+01:00That's really good to hear!! If you don't preach it - you won't get it!".

I think his point was that preaching is the essential fulcrum of any ministry or movement. It builds faith, hope and expectation! Hence my concern with the Purswell paper on the Baptism of the Spirit. That if pastors aren't preaching the baptism of the Spirit anymore as a vital experiential inheritance for all saints then it won't be received.

And just so with prophecy. That if a lower expectation of prophecy is being propogated - that the desire and eagerness to prophecy that Terry was talking about will fall, or even worse stop altogether because of the restrictions placed upon it. "No mates ..." etc.

I am so glad that you benefited from the prophetic ministry though!Dan Bowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15661120561123767936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13792024.post-1156121913404383682006-08-21T01:58:00.000+01:002006-08-21T01:58:00.000+01:00Well done. I have also just had a great week-end benefitting from prophetic ministry personally--and that out of the ranks of SGM! I'll be more specific on my blog as soon as I have a chance. And you've started another? How will I ever keep up?julhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15688008902332240637noreply@blogger.com
